Terms of Service
Last Updated: September 22, 2026
Welcome to Ceramics on 23rd.
These Terms of Service govern your use of CeramicsOn23rd.com and purchases made through our website. By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Service and the policies referenced within them.
Throughout these Terms, “Ceramics on 23rd,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Ceramics on 23rd.
OUR CERAMICS
Ceramics on 23rd has been involved in ceramics for more than 50 years and maintains a large collection of molds, including many vintage and discontinued designs.
Many of the pieces offered on our website are individually poured, cleaned, fired, inspected, and packaged by us.
Because ceramics are individually produced, minor variations are normal and should be expected.
Small differences in dimensions, surface texture, detail, mold characteristics, firing results, or other characteristics may occur from one piece to another.
These variations are part of the ceramic manufacturing process and do not necessarily constitute a defect.
VINTAGE MOLDS
Many of our pieces are produced from vintage ceramic molds, some of which may be decades old.
Vintage molds can have characteristics resulting from their age, original design, manufacturer, or years of use. We make reasonable efforts to clean and prepare each ceramic piece to our quality standards before firing.
Because of the age and nature of these molds, minor characteristics or variations associated with the original mold may remain in the finished bisque.
BISQUE & GREENWARE LISTINGS
Products identified as bisque are generally pieces that have already been cleaned and fired and are ready to be prepared for shipment.
Products identified as greenware may represent pieces that still need to be produced for your order.
In many cases, when you order an item listed as greenware, we will pour and produce that piece specifically for you rather than simply pulling a finished piece from a shelf.
Greenware orders may therefore be considered custom production requests.
Standard production and processing times are explained in our Shipping Policy.
PRODUCT PHOTOS
We make reasonable efforts to accurately photograph and describe our products.
Because many ceramic pieces are individually produced, the piece you receive may not be the exact physical piece shown in a representative product photograph unless the listing specifically states otherwise.
Computer monitors, phones, screens, photography, lighting, and other factors may also affect how colors, textures, and details appear.
PRODUCT DIMENSIONS
Product dimensions provided on our website are approximate unless specifically stated otherwise.
Because ceramic pieces are individually produced and undergo drying and firing, minor differences in dimensions may occur.
AVAILABILITY
Our collection includes thousands of ceramic molds and pieces, including vintage molds that may be difficult or impossible to replace.
While we make every reasonable effort to keep our website accurate, listing a product does not guarantee that the mold or piece will always remain available.
Occasionally, a mold may be damaged, unavailable, unsuitable for production, or otherwise unable to produce a piece that meets our standards.
If we are unable to fulfill an order, we will contact you and provide appropriate options, which may include cancellation and a refund for the affected item.
PRICES
All prices are listed in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated.
We reserve the right to change product prices at any time before an order is placed.
The price charged for an accepted order will generally be the price displayed when the order was submitted, except in cases involving an obvious pricing, typographical, technical, or system error.
If a significant pricing error occurs, we may contact you before fulfilling the order and provide the option to proceed at the correct price or cancel the affected item for a refund.
ORDERS
We reserve the right to accept, decline, limit, or cancel an order when reasonably necessary, including in situations involving:
-
Product or mold availability
-
Pricing or listing errors
-
Suspected fraud or unauthorized transactions
-
Shipping restrictions
-
Website or technical errors
-
Orders that cannot reasonably be fulfilled
-
Other circumstances that prevent us from completing an order as represented
If we cancel an item or order after payment has been collected, the applicable amount will be refunded.
CUSTOM PRODUCTION
Some products are produced specifically in response to a customer's order.
Once production has begun on a custom-produced piece, cancellation may not be possible.
Please review your order carefully before submitting it.
Additional information regarding cancellations, refunds, and returns is provided in our Returns, Refunds & Cancellations Policy.
PAYMENT
Payment is due at the time an order is placed unless another arrangement has been specifically agreed to by Ceramics on 23rd.
Payments made through our website are processed using the payment methods and payment providers available through our online store.
You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate billing and purchase information.
SHIPPING
Shipping costs, processing times, production times, tracking, damaged shipments, and related information are governed by our Shipping Policy.
Our normal processing and production times are estimates rather than guaranteed delivery dates.
Once a package has been accepted by a shipping carrier, carrier transit times and delays may be outside our control.
SHIPPING DAMAGE
We take considerable care when packaging ceramics for shipment.
If an item arrives damaged, customers must cooperate with reasonable documentation requirements necessary for us to pursue a shipping claim. This may include providing photographs of the damaged item, shipping carton, shipping label, internal packing materials, and other requested documentation.
Customers should retain the damaged item and all original packaging until Ceramics on 23rd confirms that they may be discarded.
Additional information is provided in our Shipping Policy.
RETURNS, REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS
Returns, refunds, replacements, order cancellations, damaged items, and related matters are governed by our Returns, Refunds & Cancellations Policy.
That policy forms part of these Terms of Service.
